CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State head men’s golf coach Steve Brown announced the signing of Logan Meehan to help the Heartland Conference champion RSU men’s golf team for the 2018-19 season. Meehan is the second signing for the Hillcats in the 2018 class.
Meehan comes to College Hill from Coweta High School in Coweta, Oklahoma where he led the Tigers to the state tournament all four prep seasons. As a senior, he finished sixth at the 5A State Championship after a third place finish at the regional. He posted a scoring average of 75.6 with second place finishes at Indian Springs and Cimarron Trails during his senior campaign. Meehan was an All-State qualifier and Academic All-State. During the summer golf season, Meehan was ninth at the American Junior Golf Association event at Buffalo Ridge in Branson, Missouri.
As a junior, he became the first individual conference champion from Coweta High School and placed 11th at the 5A State Championship. Meehan finished third at the regional with his lowest round of the season. In his sophomore season, he was named the Most Improved Player at Coweta and earned Academic All-State. As a freshman, Meehan helped Coweta advance to the state tournament for the first time in 16 years. He was named the Rookie of the Year and tallied the team’s only hole-in-one during the season.
Meehan joins the Hillcats after the navy and red captured the 2018 Heartland Conference Championship and the Cats made their first-ever appearance in regional competition of the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships.
