Broken Arrow, OK—On Tuesday, April 22 the South Central PGA Foundation Board announced the recipients of its inaugural Growth of the Game Grant Program. This new South Central PGA Foundation Grant Program is designed to give South Central PGA Members the ability to create a custom program for their facility or community that works locally to introduce more players to the game of golf and create more value for the PGA Professional in their community.

Grants were awarded for SNAG (Starting New at Golf) equipment as well as program funding based on the needs of the golf professional and the program in place. Programs must introduce new golfers to the game and can be geared toward all skill levels and ages. It is the goal of the South Central PGA Foundation to provide individual members the tools and resources they need to grow the game of golf on a local level. In total, more than $20,000 in funding and equipment was awarded.

The South Central PGA Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to positively impacting lives through the game of golf and was created for the purpose of administering the philanthropic affairs on behalf of the golf professionals within the South Central Section of the PGA. These include, but are not limited to, promotion and growth of junior golf, scholarship programs, programs for underprivileged youth, and contributing to allied charitable organizations.
