Section pros miss cut at PGA Professional Championship

It was a rough day for the locals in the 2018 PGA Professional Championship, as all five pros from the PGA South Central Section, which includes Oklahoma, failed to make the cut to the low 90 and ties following 36 holes.

The tournament, being held at the Bayonet and Black Horse golf courses in Seaside, Calif., rewards the top 20 club professionals with spots in the 2018 PGA Championship.

Blake Bowman of Pryor missed advancing by a single shot as he tied for 100th at 150 after rounds of 74-76. Tim Fleming of Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club and Jeff Combe of Tulsa Country Club each missed by two shots at 151. Fleming shot 73-78 and Combe 76-75.

Trent Rommann of Wichita finished at 153 and Kyley Tetley, who runs a golf school at The Club at Indian Springs, finished at 158.
