SemGroup Corporation is giving back on the greens with a fun and friendly competition supporting The First Tee of Tulsa.
SemGroup’s CEO and CFO along with several employees will team up with kids from Tulsa’s chapter of The First Tee for a closest to the hole contest at 9 a.m. Thursday at Mohawk Park Golf Course. Following the competition, SemGroup will present The First Tee of Tulsa with a check for $16,000 to support the organization’s work with
Tulsa’s underprivileged youth.
The First Tee aims to positively impact the lives of young people from
all walks of life by providing educational programs which build
character and confidence through the game of golf. Among The First Tee
Nine Core Values emphasized in all of their programs are integrity,
respect and perseverance.
"These values most certainly align with those of SemGroup, and we are
proud to support this outstanding organization and program that helps
shape the lives of young people throughout our community," said Carlin
Conner, SemGroup chief executive officer. "Getting to have fun and play
golf with some of these awesome kids is icing on the cake."
Nick Sidorakis, the vice president of The First Tee of Tulsa and
general manager of Southern Hills Country Club, will be on hand
to accept this donation. Funds for the donation were raised through a
campaign between SemGroup and several corporate partners.
