Two-time defending champion Yujeong Son of Norman advanced to the quarterfinals of the Women’s Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur Championship with a 2 and 1 victory over Taylor Dobson of Broken Arrow Tuesday at the Patriot Golf Club in Owasso.

Also advancing was Megan Blonien of Altus, runnerup to Son in 2015. She defeated Heidi Stafford 2 up.

Other championship flight winners included Nadia Majidizadeh of the University of Tulsa, Anna Mikish, Raegan Barnes and Savannah Moody, all of Oklahoma City University, Kate Goodwin of Oklahoma Christian and Baylee Price of Northeastern State University.
