Son runs away with WOGA Girls Junior Championship

Thirteen-year-old Yujeong Son of Norman shot the two lowest rounds and ran away with the WOGA Girls Junior Championship at Quail Creek Country Club in Oklahoma City.

Son shot rounds of 69-70 for a 7-under total of 139, seven shots better than Sydney Youngblood of Durant (74-72). Son is raising eyebrows as perhaps the state’s best junior girls golfer since Enid’s Stacy Prammanasudh, who went on to a long career on the LPGA Tour.

Kaitlin Milligan of Norman took third at 147 after rounds of 73-74 followed by Brinn Rees Fariss of Oklahoma City at 151 (79-72).
