CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Central Oklahoma’s Marla Souvannasing has been named a second-team NCAA Division II All-American and head coach Michael Bond was tabbed the Central Region Coach of the Year, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced Monday.

Souvannasing finished with a 75.40 scoring average for 30 rounds during the 2014-15 season, placing in the top 10 in 11 of 13 tournaments.

The rookie standout from Tulsa who helped lead Union High School to four Class 6A state championships captured four titles and had three runner-up finishes en route to earning Player of the Year honors in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

Bond earned Central Region Coach of the Year accolades for the third consecutive season.  He led the Bronchos to nine tournament championships and two runner-up finishes, with UCO coming in seventh at the last week’s national tournament.

The Bronchos have had 66 top-four finishes in 87 tournaments under the seventh-year skipper, winning 25 titles.
