Thursday was a very special day for 13-year-old Traden Karch, who played Southern Hills for the first time with University of Oklahoma golfer Brad Dalke, his father Chris Karch and friend James Patrick Roller. Traden is the young man who was severely injured in an auto accident on Feb. 23. Doctors feared greatly for his life and he was in a medically induced coma for weeks. He is now in the midst of a miraculous recovery and his golf game is nearly as good as ever. He will be the guest of the PGA of America at both the upcoming PGA Championship and Ryder Cup. Read much more about his story in the upcoming August-September issue of Golf Oklahoma.
