Stark takes one-shot lead over Johnson, Mabrey

Oscar Stark, a former Oklahoma Christian University golfer now playing on the mini-tours, shot a second-round 6-under-par 64 to move one-shot ahead of Norman North junior Thomas Johnson and University of Tulsa golfer Matt Mabrey after 36 holes of the Oklahoma Open at Oak Tree Country Club (East Course).

Johnson, who opened with a 62, shot 70 in the second round and is at 8-under 132.  Mabrey is tied for second with Johnson after a second-round 64, giving amateurs two of the top three spots in a field deep with professional golfers.

Two other amateurs are also within striking range. Chris Worrell, another TU golfers, shot 64 and is tied for sixth at 5-under 135, as is Sam Johnston of Edmond, who plays at Oklahoma Christian.
