Stevens misses out as U.S. Amateur qualifying continues

Oklahoma State golfer Sam Stevens of Wichita was among those to narrowly miss advancing to the U.S. Amateur in a qualifier Tuesday at Mira Vista Country Club in Fort Worth.

The Oklahoma qualifier is scheduled July 20 at The Trails Golf Club in Norman.

The 2016 U.S. Amateur Championship is Aug. 15-21 at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
