SWOSU three back in GAC Preview, SNU takes fourth

OKLAHOMA CITY – Southwest Oklahoma State slipped to third place and Southern Nazarene into fourth place in the final round of the Great American Conference Women’s Preview Tuesday at the Lake Hefner North Course.

SWOSU, which finished just three shots back of tournament winner Arkansas State, boasted two of the top four individuals, as freshman Gloria Choi finished tied for second and Emily Folsom tied for fourth after a 2-under 70 in her final round, tied for the low round on Tuesday.

Also for SWOSE, Chloe Thackeray and Courtney Gourdin tied for ninth at 153. Elin Wahlin tied for 15th after a final round of 76.

Arkansas Tech won the team title in a playoff over Henderson State. Arkansas State’s Anna Frandsen won the tournament at 5-under (69-70).

Southern Nazarene remained in fourth with a final round 314. Cassidy Herbster paced SNU as the junior shot a par-72 to finish at 155 in a tie for 14th. Marion Broedys was just two shots back at 157 in a tie for 18 while Rachel Donaldson tied for 27th at 160. Emilee White finished at 164 in a tie for 36th and Ashley Moore closed at 166 in a tie for 41st. Jordan Patterson also shot a 77 as an individual in the final round to finish at 163 in a tie for 33rd.
