World-renowned trick shot artist Peter Johncke highlights an impressive list of speakers giving free clinics at the Oklahoma Golf Expo Feb. 28 and March 1 at the Hard Rock Casino.
Along with the entertaining Johncke, you can pick the brains of some of Oklahoma’s top teaching professionals, such as Tracy Phillips, director of instruction at Cedar Ridge, Pat McTigue, owner and director of instruction at GolfTec stores in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, Michael Boyd, director of golf at The Club at Indian Springs and former PGA Tour player.
Todd Graves, expert proponent of the single plane golf swing popularized by Moe Norman, one of the greatest ball strikers in history, will be on hand. For golf fitness tips, we have Sean Riley and Ryan Smith of SwingFit.
You will want to bring your aspiring golfers out for a very special junior clinic Saturday morning by First Tee of Tulsa director and former LPGA player Janice Gibson. She’ll be joined by current Rogers State coach and former Oklahoma golf coach Lynn Blevins, who can help answer any questions regarding what steps to take to prepare young golfers for college golf.
Also, Suzie Fisher of the Golf Club of Oklahoma and Amanda Fisher of Battle Creek Golf Course, both proponents of U.S. Kids Golf, will be providing free lessons for children in the hitting net and answering any questions about the U.S. Kids Golf Program. The Oklahoma Golf Asssociation and PGA South Central Section will also be on hand to provide information about their junior programs, as will SNAG (Start New at Golf).
Also visiting will be special guests to promote the U.S. Senior Open in July at Oak Tree National and we will be giving away some tickets during the Expo to this major championship in our state.
