Three OSU golfers receive All-America honors

STILLWATER, Okla. – Three members of the Oklahoma State men’s golf team earned All-America status this week from a pair of outlets with Jordan Niebrugge, Stratton Nolen and Kristoffer Ventura all achieving the honor.

With their selections, the Cowboy program now has 172 All-America selections to its credit.

On Wednesday, Golfweek magazine announced its All-America squads with all three players being tabbed as third-team selections.

Thursday brought about the release of the Golf Coaches Association of America Ping All-America Team. Ventura was named to the third team, while Niebrugge and Nolen received honorable mention recognition.

A senior from Mequon, Wis., Niebrugge concludes his collegiate career as a four-time honorable mention selection by the GCAA. The last three years have seen him collect honorable mention status from Golfweek as well.

Niebrugge posted three top-five finishes this past year, tying for fourth place at the Erin Hills Intercollegiate and finishing alone in fifth at both the John Hayt Collegiate and the NCAA Stillwater Regional.

Nolen was honored for the first time in his career after posting five top 10s in 10 starts. A sophomore from Austin, Texas, Nolen closed the year with top 10s in three of his final four starts on the year. After tying for fourth place at The Maxwell, he was victorious at the Big 12 Championship before finishing third at the NCAA Stillwater Regional.

A sophomore from Rygge, Norway, Ventura posted three top 10s on the year, including a pair of victories. After collecting his first win at the Aggie Invitational, Ventura followed with a tie for seventh place at The Maxwell. He posted his second win of the year at the NCAA Stillwater Regional.
