Three South Central PGA Juniors advance to Augusta National for Drive Chip & Putt

Three junior golfers from The South Central PGA have punched their ticket to Augusta National Golf Club next April through The Drive Chip and Putt Championship.

Broken Arrow, OK — On September 6th at The Course at Watters Creek in Plano, TX, three juniors from The South Central Section of The PGA advanced through the regional championship to earn a spot to compete in The National Drive Chip and Putt Championship on the greens of Augusta National next April.

In the Boys 10-11 age division, Benjamin Stoller of Owasso, OK finished with a combined score of 133 giving him a 24 point victory over Micah Depew of Kountze, TX.

In the Boys 12-13 age division, Dongsoo Lee of Fayetteville, AR finished with a combined score of 136 giving him a 13 point victory over Joseph Fontana of Cibolo, TX.

In the Girls 10-11 age division, Makenzie Lee of North Little Rock, AR finished with a combined score of 150 giving her a 9 point edge over Sky Sudberry from Spring, TX.

The Drive Chip and Putt Championship is a joint venture between The USGA, The Masters Tournament and The PGA of America. With more than 25,000 youth attempting to qualify, each participant must advance through a local, sub-regional and regional qualifier with 80 kids ultimately earning a change to participate at Augusta National during the 2015 Masters week.
