Tornado does heavy damage at Elk City Country Club

The tornado that hit Elk City in western Oklahoma on Tuesday, May 16, destroyed most of the structures at Elk City Country Club.

Power is still out and details are sketchy, but officials at city hall confirmed the main clubhouse, cart barn and several other structures were destroyed or severely damaged by the tornado.

More details on damage from the EF2 tornado and rebuilding efforts to come. The storm killed one person, destroyed at least 40 homes and damaged 75 others.
