Oak Tree National member Rhein Gibson of Edmond tied for fifth in this weekend’s Web.com Tour Panama Open, shooting 3-under par to finish five strokes behind winner Michael Glilgic.

Also, Taylor Moore of Edmond and OTN tied for 29th and former OU golfer Michael Gellerman tied for 46th. Two other young golfers who play out of Oak Tree – Charlie Saxon and Josh Creel – did not make the cut. Complete results are here.

It wasn’t a great week on the PGA Tour for players with Oklahoma ties, as Talor Gooch, Anders Albertson and Tyrone Van Aswegan all missed the cut in the AT&T National Pro-Am at Pebble Beach. Gooch, of Midwest City, plays out of OTN, while Albertson’s tie to the state is his father is a businessman in Tulsa and Van Aswegan played his collegiate golf at Oklahoma City University.
