Tulsa in fourth place in Sunflower Invitational

Manhattan, Texas ––The Tulsa women’s golf team sits in fourth place after two rounds at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational, while junior Johanna Samuelsson is in fourth –place individually heading into Tuesday’s final 18 holes.

Tulsa carded a second-round total of 301 for a 36-hole score of 600 at the par-72 Colbert Hills Golf Course, while Samuelsson had an even-par round of 72 today and sits at 1-over par 145 for the tournament.

Senior Nicole Marquardt is in 13th place after scoring a 74 today for her 150 total. Junior Anneke Strobach turned in a round of 76 and is tied with teammate Olivia Jackson for 29th place with a two-round total of 155. Freshman Randi Romack is tied for 33rd place after today’s 79 for a score of 156.

Sophomore Taylor Dobson, playing the event as an individual, is in 19th place with a score of 152, following her round of 76 today.

Host Kansas State continues to lead the field after two rounds with a 7-over par score of 583, while the Wildcats’ Connie Jaffrey is in first place at 6-under 138.

Tulsa tees-off in final round action on Tuesday at 8:00 am in a shotgun start.
