Tulsa women finish 11th at Las Cruces

Las Cruces, NM –– The Tulsa women golfers finished in 11th-place at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Intercollegiate on Wednesday. Tulsa carded a final round score of 298 to finish the 54-hole tournament with a 904 total at the par-72 New Mexico State University Golf Course.
Portland State overtook second-round leader UC Irvine for the team title with an even-par round of 288 to finish at three-over par 867. Irvine placed second with an 872 total and was followed by CSU Fullerton (881) and Nevada (885), while Idaho and Cincinnati tied for fifth-place with 887 totals.
Tulsa senior Kayla Riede led the Hurricane with a 23rd place performance as she finished with a seven-over par score of 223. Riede shot a round of 76 today. Tulsa’s next finisher was sophomore Alex Haun, who turned in her best round of the tournament with an even-par 72 to finish in 37th place with a score of 227.
Junior Franziska Voellinger carded a final round score of 77 and finished with a 228 total for 43rd place. Senior Karson Bizzell moved up 12 spots into 56th place with a round of one-over par 73 today to finish at 232, while sophomore Antonia Von Wnuck placed 62nd overall with a score of 235 after Wednesday’s score of 80.
Portland State’s A Ram Choi remains in first-place overall with a three-under par score of 141 after turning in a one-over par 73 today.
Tulsa will be back in action next at the University of Texas’s 40th Annual Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, October 13-15, in Austin, Texas.
