Sophomore Alex Haun cards final round score of 72

AUSTIN, Texas — The Tulsa women’s golf team finished in 18th place at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational on Tuesday. The Hurricane carded its’ best round of the tournament with a 305 for a 930 total at the par-72 UT Golf course.
Tulsa sophomore Alex Haun turned in the best round of the day for the Hurricane with an even-par 72 to finish in 68th place with a 230 total. Fellow sophomore Antonia Von Wnuck placed 75th with a 233 score, while senior Kayla Riede was one stroke behind at 234 for 80th place.

Senior Karson Bizzell finished in 88th place with a 240 score, while freshman Valeria Otoya placed 92nd with a 245 after turning in Tulsa’s second-best round of the day with a score of 76.

UCLA captured the team title with 22-under par score of 842 and was followed by Arizona State’s 848 total for second place. Miami (859), Iowa State (862) and SMU (872) rounded out the top-5 teams. UCLA’s Alison Lee captured medalist honors with a -under par scores of 137.

Tulsa is back in action October 28-29 at the UAB Fall Beach Blast.
