TU’s McCracken in hunt for Eagle/Osprey title

Jacksonville, Fla. –– Tulsa’s Logan McCracken is in second place after 36 holes at the Eagle/Osprey Intercollegiate, while the Golden Hurricane team is in sixth place in the 15-team field. The Tulsa senior carded rounds of 72 and 71 for a 1-under par 143 score on Monday at the par-72 Deerwood Country Club
 
McCracken is one stroke behind Mercer’s Trey Rule’s 142 score, and tied with MJ Maguire of North Florida and Florida Gulf Coast’s Matt Cote.
 
The Hurricane shot rounds of 297 and 298 for a score of 595 and sits 12 shots behind team leader Vanderbilt. The Commodores have a seven-over par 583 score, followed by second-place Southeastern Louisiana (590), Mercer (592), Florida Gulf Coast (593) and Georgia Southern rounding out the top five schools.
 
Tulsa junior Matt Mabrey is in 16th place after turning in rounds of 74-75 on Monday for a 149 score. Senior Mark Mumford carded a 36-hole total of 74-77 for a 151 total, good for 32nd place.
 
Junior Colton Staggs is in 51st place with identical scores of 77 today, while freshman Francisco Yanez in his first collegiate tournament scored rounds of 81 and 76 for a 156 two-round score.

The tournament will conclude with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
