A couple of pros with strong Oklahoma ties will be battling for their 2015 PGA Tour cards Thursday through Sunday at the Web.Com Tour Championship finals at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Tag Ridings, a graduate of Memorial High School in Tulsa, and Kevin Tway of Edmond North, are currently just outside the top 50 of those who will earn their cards either by finishing in the top 25 of the regular Web.Com Tour season or in the top 25 on the four-event Web.Com Tour playoff series which culminates this weekend.

Both Ridings and Tway competed on the PGA Tour in 2014 and didn’t finish in the top 125 to be exempt for next year. They are in the Web.Com Tour playoffs. In the third event, the Nationwide Children’s Charity Classic at the OSU Scarlet Course in Columbus last week, Ridings finished tied for 12th to move from 67th to 51st on the list and is just $703 behind Patrick Rogers for the final spot. Tway finished tied for 27th and dropped from 54th to 57th. Both players need to play well at Sawgrass to assure their playing status for 2015.

The cards to the top 25 on the regular season Web.Com Tour have already been awarded, so the two are actually battling for one of the 25 cards remaining. For more information, go to www.pgatour.com.
