WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The University of Central Oklahoma women’s golf team is in second-place at the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Fall Preview at Mules National Golf Club after Monday’s first round.
Lindenwood leads the two-day event after it fired a team score of 308. The Bronchos shot a 312. Central Missouri’s Olivia Sobaski is in first-place individually after shooting an opening round 1-over 72.
"It’s good to be where we are given the way we started the day," UCO head coach Michael Bond said. "We need to start better tomorrow and play more consistent to have a chance to win. But today was still a really good day for us on the course."
Marla Souvannasing paced the Bronchos. The junior is in fourth-place after shooting a 4-over 75.
Anna Pool is in the top-20 after one round. Pool shot a 78 and is tied for 15th place. Grace Shin is also in the top-20. She is currently tied for 20th after shooting 79.
Camilla Schou, playing in her first tournament of the year, is tied for 27th after an opening round 80. Sydney Roberts shot an 83 and is tied for 40th.
