UCO’s Neidy named Golfer of the Week after win at Henderson State

KANSAS CITY, Mo.  – Central Oklahoma’s Taylor Neidy has been named Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Women’s Golfer the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

The senior standout from Clinton breezed to a five-shot victory in the Henderson State First Federal Invitational Monday and Tuesday in Mountain Home, Ark. to lead the Bronchos to a 15-shot team win.

Neidy finished with a three-over-par 147 total in the 36-hole tournament, tying a career low with a two-under 70 on Monday before shooting 77 in windy conditions Tuesday en route to winning her second career title.

UCO doesn’t return to action until going to Lawrence, Kan. April 21-23 for the MIAA Championships.
