SAN DIEGO, Calif. –Oklahoma State’s women’s golf team closed with a 15-over 303 total on Wednesday at the SDSU Farms Invitational to tie for 10th place at The Farms Golf Club.
The Cowgirls wrapped up the event with a 54-hole total of 52-over 916 to come in tied with New Mexico at the par-72, 6,237-yard layout. USC won the event, finishing as the only team under par at 3-under 861 after closing with a 282 during its final round. It was the ninth victory in the last 10 tournaments for the defending NCAA champions.
USC’s Karen Chung claimed medalist honors after closing with a 66 to finish at 8-under 208 and two shots clear of the field.
OSU senior Jayde Panos led the way for the Cowgirls, tying for 21st place at 6-over 222. Panos closed with a 73 during her final round.
Senior Lauren Falley tied for 39th place after a 77 during her third round gave her a 227 total.
Sophomore Julie Yang posted her second consecutive 77 to tie for 63rd place at 236, while freshman Isabella Deilert was a stroke back and tied for 66th place after finishing with an 80 for a 237 total.
Senior Amy Ruengmateekhun’s closing 76 gave her sole possession of 69th place at 238.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on April 4 at the SMU Invitational.
