Wright, Stansbury to meet for OGA Senior State Amateur title

Defending champion Kirk Wright of Oklahoma City downed 20111 and 2012 champion Mike Hughett of Owasso 4 and 2 in a semifinal showdown at the Oklahoma Golf Association Senior State Amateur Championship at The Territory Golf & Country Club in Duncan.

Wright will defend his title against John Stansbury of Edmond, who downed Michael Koljack of Broken Arrow 5 and 4 in the other semifinal.

Wright had a one up lead on Hughett through 13 holes and won the final three holes when Hughett suffered bogeys on 14 and 16 while Wright birdied 15.

Stansbury won the first two holes and was four up at the turn. He only lost one hole in the match.
