Young, Evans win SCPGA Pro-Scratch Championship

DUNCAN, Oklahoma – The 2014 Justice Golf Car Pro-Scratch Championship presented by COBRA PUMA Golf, CertiFresh Cigar and PGA Tour was held June 2 at The Territory Golf & Country Club. PGA Professionals and Scratch Amateurs from Arkansas, Oklahoma and Southern Kansas battled the challenging layout to compete for the coveted title.

The Championship featured a 36-Hole, Two-Man Best Ball Format. The team of Professional, Jim Young and Amateur, Trent Evans posted rounds of 65-64=129 (-15 under par) to claim the title. Additional contests included a Hole-in-One Challenge sponsored by Justice Golf Car, a Closest to the Hole Challenge sponsored by CertiFresh Cigar and a Skins Game. COBRA PUMA Golf was also on hand to present PUMA golf shirts to all participants.

The Pro-Scratch Championship is one of more than 20 events conducted across the South Central Section featuring a variety of formats and participants.
