Burrows’ 66 propels ORU into seventh at Border Olympics

LAREDO, Texas. – Oral Roberts senior Cody Burrows shot rounds of 69-66 – the latter tying his career low – to move into fifth place, three shots off the lead in the Border Olympics at Laredo Country Club.
ORU shot 283-288 en route to a 36-hole score of 571 (-5) on day one of the Border Olympics, Monday. The Golden Eagles are tied for seventh overall, as Arkansas State leads the way at 545 (-31). Eleven of the 16 teams finished day one with a 36-hole score under par.
ORU’s 283 is the second best round of the year, but the best on a par 72 course, having shot 281 in the opening round of the Trinity Forest Invitational September 23, 2018.
