Gellerman, Saxon, McCracken advance in Web.com qualifying

Former Sooners Michael Gellerman and Charlie Saxon, as well as former University of Tulsa golfer Logan McCracken, all advanced in a first-stage qualifier for the Web.com Tour Saturday in Nebraska City, Neb.

Gellerman tied for eighth while Saxon and McCracken tied for 23rd. The top 24 and ties advanced. Not making it through the qualifier were Dillon Rust of Edmond and Hunter Sparks of Oklahoma City.

Many other Oklahoma pros are competing in first-stage events Tuesday through Friday this week, particularly in Houston, where Jason Meece of Newcastle fired a first-round 65 Tuesday to tie for the early lead. Scoring for all four first-round qualifiers this week can be found here.
