Humphreys, Majors team up to win OGA Spring Four-Ball, Stansbury, McFarland capture senior division

University of Tulsa golfer Sam Humphreys and former Southern Methodist golfer Draegen Majors of Bixby shot rounds of 65-67 for a combined 8-under 132 to edge Ben Blundell and Jordan Cook of Oklahoma City by a single shot in the Oklahoma Golf Association Spring Four-Ball Championship at Oak Tree Country Club Wednesday.

Blundell, a former University of Oklahoma golfer, and Cook, a nephew of Doug Tewell, shot 65-68 for a 133. Another shot back were Jeff Coffman and Brian Birchell of Oklahoma City at 134, foillowed by a tie between the Norman-based team of Tripp Davis and Rick Bell and the Kingfisher team of Heath Myers and Mason Overstreet at 5-under 135.

In the senior division, defending OGA Senior Amateur champion John Stansbury and Tim McFarland of Edmond followed up their smoking opening round of 63 with a 67 to move to 10-under 130 and hold off the team of Mike Hughett of Owasso and Kirk Wright of Oklahoma City, which shot 64-70 to finish four shots back at 6-under 134.

Richard Koenig and David Wing of Tulsa were third at 5-under 135, followed by a tie for fourth at 136 between the teams of Bill Brafford of Tulsa and Michael Koljack of Broken Arrow and the duo of Bob Hall of Tulsa and Dan Griffin of Skiatook.
