Lemieux, Stewart win Section Players Tour Event at Oak Tree CC

Joseph Lemieux of Newalla and Faith Stewart of Edmond won the South Central Section Players Tour Oak Tree Championship July 6-7 on the East Course at Oak Tree Country Club.

 Lemieux, 17, posted rounds of 73-77 for a two-day total of 150 and a one-stroke victory over Matt Geurin, 15, of Edmond. Stewart, posted rounds of 78-74 for a two-day total of 152 and a two-stroke victory over Dayna Owens, 15, of Rockledge, Florida.

The Players Tour is a series of five 36-hole competitions, with point earners attempting to qualify for the South Central PGA’s flagship junior event, the 2nd Oakley Cup Matches Aug. 8-9, at Shangri-La Golf Club.
