Maddison Hinson-Tolchard named WGCA All-American

STILLWATER, Okla. —- For her efforts throughout the season, Oklahoma State women’s golf’s Maddison Hinson-Tolchard was named a second-team All-American, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced Thursday.

The 2022 NCAA Stillwater Regional’s individual champion, Hinson-Tolchard won two tournaments this year and finished inside the top-20 of the standings 10 times and inside the top-25 at 12 events on her way to her first WGCA All-America honors.

A sophomore from Perth, Australia, she appeared in 13 tournaments for the Cowgirls this past season. In her 37 rounds of work, she carded a 71.65 average score was 0.05 versus par.

This past week, Hinson-Tolchard won a five-person playoff to advance to the final round of stroke play at the NCAA Championships and finished tied for 31st as she led the field in eagles.

Playing self-described “boring” golf, she finished the year with nine rounds in the 60s, including a season-low 66 in the second round of the Mountain View Collegiate in March.
