OSU slips to 12th at ANNIKA Intercollegiate
ORLANDO, Fla. -After another round of solid play, Oklahoma State senior Linnea Johansson remains in contention after 36 holes at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate.
Johansson carded four birdies in Monday’s second round and will enter the final 18 holes tied for seventh place at 6-under par 138. The senior trails the co-leaders, UCLA’s Lilia Vu and Georgia’s Bailey Tardy, by just five strokes heading into Tuesday.
Johansson led the nation with 132 birdies in 2015-16, and is off to another fantastic start this year. Currently the No. 8 player in the country, Johansson has yet to enter the clubhouse above par in five competitive rounds, and has 28 birdies to her credit.
Overall, the Cowgirls slipped into 12th place after carding a score of 5-over 293 in the second round. For the week, OSU is 3-over and 28 strokes off the leader, UCLA.
Kenzie Neisen and Alexis Sadeghy will enter Tuesday’s final round tied for 43rd place at 3-over 147, while Isabella Deilert and Chih-Min Chen are tied for 56th place at 7-over 151.
