FAYETTEVILLE, AR — Two members of the University of Arkansas golf team have been arrested after police say they took multiple photos of a woman without her consent. Taylor Moore and Nicolas Echavarria face charges of video voyerurism. Both players have since been suspended indefinitely and will not play in regionals next week.

According to a police report, the victim contacted police to make a report of rape. The victim told police she consumed multiple alcoholic drinks on Dickson Street, and ran into Moore and Echavarria. She said she knew both of the men prior to that night. She was too drunk to drive, so she got a ride from the two men. She told police she was taken to Moore’s house, and she said she was under the impression that she would spend the night there and go home in the morning.

The victim told police that Moore gave her a shirt to sleep in, and that she remembered being carried to his bedroom. She told police she also remembered seeing a flash of light and thought Moore had taken pictures of her.

Police seized Moore’s and Echavarria’s phones with a search warrant and found sexually explicit pictures of the victim on Echavarria’s phone. The two men told police they took 3 pictures and deleted two of them. Police also say the men admitted they took the pictures without the victim’s knowledge or consent.

Moore is a former two-time Oklahoma Class 6A high school champion for Edmond Memorial and one of the nation’s top-ranked juniors. He has been the Razorbacks best player this year averaging 71.8 strokes per round.
