Wood qualifies for U.S. Amateur

Hayden Wood of Edmond, a redshirt freshman at Oklahoma State University, shot rounds of 71-68 Monday at Gentle Creek Golf Club in Prosper, Texas, to earn one of two qualifying spots for the U.S. Amateur Championship.

The U.S. Amateur will be held Aug. 17-23 at Olympia Fields near Chicago.
