Tulsa repeats as champions of America Athletic Conference

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — The University of Tulsa women’s golf team captured back-to-back titles at the American Athletic Conference Championship, claiming the 2026 crown on Wednesday at Southern Hills Plantation Club.

The championship marks the first time since the 2004 and 2005 seasons that the Golden Hurricane have secured consecutive conference titles.

Tulsa finished the three-day event at 2-over par 866, winning the team title by four strokes. The Golden Hurricane placed three golfers inside the top 10 and were the only program to have multiple players finish among the top five. To view the complete leaderboard, click here.

Leading the way for Tulsa was Samantha Olson, who earned runner-up honors for the second time this season. After opening her final round with a bogey, Olson responded with an eagle on the seventh hole to move under par on the front nine. She finished the day with a 2-over par 74. For the tournament, she was 2-under par 214.

Romaine Masserey recorded her second consecutive top-five finish at the American Championship, placing third after winning the individual title in 2025. Masserey carded a 73 in the final round, highlighted by five birdies, and finished the tournament at 1-under 215.

Allyn Stephens turned in her best performance at the conference championship, finishing tied for seventh. After a challenging start, Stephens closed strong with birdies on two of her final three holes to post 74. This marks her second career top-10 finish at the event.

Jenni Roller finished tied for 12th place at 5-over par 221. Roller recorded two birdies on the front nine but was unable to regain momentum on the back, closing with a 78.

Zoe Shamy rounded out the Tulsa lineup, tying for 26th place at nine-over par 225. The freshman opened her round with two birdies through the first seven holes before finishing with a five-over par 77.

Tulsa will now await the NCAA Selection Show, scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 at 12 p.m. CT on the Golf Channel. With a ranking of 50, TU should be certain to receive a regional bid.
