Blonien, Cannon to meet in WOGA State Amateur finals

Two of the state’s most talented young golfers will meet Thursday morning for the Women’s Oklahoma Golf Association’s most coveted title.

Natalie Blonien, who will be a freshman for the Arkansas Lady Razorbacks golf team this fall, takes on 14-year-old Evyn Cannon, who will be a freshman at Deer Creek High School in Edmond, in the final match at Stillwater Country Club.

Blonien recently won her second consecutive WOGA Girls Junior Championship while Cannon won the OGA Junior Girls Championship in June at KickingBird in Edmond.

Blonien defeated Payton Coburn of Tulsa 5 and 3 and Rylee Roberts of Edmond 4 and 3 Wednesday to reach the final match. Cannon edged Lucy Darr of Stillwater 1 up and rolled past Jaiden Gregston of Duncan 6 and 5.
