Burrows fires 66, helps ORU into fourth in Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate

JONESBORO, Ark. – The Oral Roberts men’s golf team shot its best round since 2015 on Monday and sits in fourth place out of 14 teams at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate. ORU fired an eight-under, 280 in the second round to finish the day at even par 576 (296-280), while Arkansas State leads the team race at 549 (273-276).

ORU’s 280 is tied for the seventh best round in school history. It was the lowest round since 2015 when the Golden Eagles shot a school record 277 at the Jackrabbit Invitational.

Mike Biata and Cody Burrows are each tied for eighth overall at 140, but it was Burrows with the low round of the day for ORU shooting a career best 66 in round two. Burrows’ round of 66 is tied for the fourth best individual score in program history. Mark Tinder holds the school record with a 63 in 1978.
