Callison earns spot in U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship

Shangri-La member and Grove resident Jeremy Callison became the fourth Oklahoman to qualify for the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship by shooting a 71 in a qualifier Monday at Jeremy Ranch Golf & Country Club in Park City, Utah.
The Mid-Amateur Championship is Sept. 25-30 at Sankaty Head Golf Club in Siasconset, Mass. In an earlier qualifier at Meadowbrook Country Club in Tulsa, Preston Wilkins of Bixby, Chris Noel of Tulsa and Mike Hearne of Yukon earned the three qualifying spots.
