Brian Severn, the assistant general manager of Detroit Golf Club, has been hired as the new general manager of Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow. He replaces Cleve Stubblefield, who retired toward the end of 2023.

Prior to his time at Detroit Golf Club, host site of the PGA Tour’s Rocket Mortgage Classic, Severn spent a year as a consultant for Pinehurst Resort at Hollytree Country Club and three years as the managing director for Pinehurst Resorts.

Severn earned his Masters of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University.  He is an American Sommelier.  Severn began his career working for the Ritz Carlton where he was the hotel manager for the Ritz Carlton in Central Park, N.Y. He will start work at Cedar Ridge in mid April.

“We are extremely excited to have Brian join the Cedar Ridge family,” said Steve Jelley, current president of the Cedar Ridge Board of Directors. “Brian brings a wealth of experience and a skill set that is well suited for the club.  His focus on hospitality and the overall member experience is impressive.”
