Chaney, Hill win OJGT Kickoff Classic at Lincoln Park

Reagan Chaney of Ardmore and Tres Hill of Elk City were the victors as the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour kicked off its fall season at Lincoln Park East Course Saturday and Sunday.

Chaney shot rounds of 69-71 to finish at even-par 140 for a three-shot victory over Lilly Whitley of Edmond, who closed with a 67 to shoot 143. Lois Deeter of Topeka, Kan., tied Anna Kate Nichols of Little Rock for third at 148.

Hill won a playoff with Matthew Smith of Oklahoma City after both golfers finished at 5-under 135. Hill opened with a 71 and stormed back with a 6-under 64 Sunday, while Smith had the same scores on reverse days (64-71).

Andrew Fakult (69-69) of Rogers, Ark., and Jeremy Tandoy (71-67) of Broken Arrow tied for third at 138. Carson Wright of Norman was fifth at 139 (71-68).
