SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The No. 16 Oklahoma State women’s golf team will occupy the sixth spot heading into the final 18 holes of the NCAA Regional at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.
The Cowgirls knocked in a combined 16 birdies in the second round and posted a 1-over par 289 to move up four spots into sixth place on the leaderboard.
After Wednesday’s final round, the low six teams and the low three individuals not on those teams at each of the four NCAA Regional sites (for a total of 24 teams and 12 individuals) advance to the NCAA Championships, which are being hosted by OSU from May 18-23 at Karsten Creek, the home of Oklahoma State golf.
Leading the way for the Cowgirls was senior Emma Broze. Broze shot 3-under par 69 and jumped 19 spots on the leaderboard to enter the final day tied for fourth place.
Following behind Broze was junior Chih-Min Chen who posted four birdies on her final seven holes to card a 1-under par 71 in her second round of play.
Senior Kenzie Neisen carded 2-over par and is tied for 19th place, while freshman Stephanie Astrup scored 3-over par and is tied for 53rd place. Senior Alexis Sadeghy shot 5-over par will enter the final day tied for 72nd place.
