Cowgirls finish third at PING/ASU Invitational
TEMPE, Ariz. – The Oklahoma State women’s golf team claimed third place at the PING/ASU Invitational at Karsten Golf Course.
Emma Broze led the No. 15 Cowgirls with an eighth place finish after rounds of 72-67-75 – (-2) 214. The senior has placed 11th or better in all four events she’s played in this spring.
Arizona secured first place with a score of 12-under 852 followed by Washington at 8-under 856. This is the fifth time this season that the Cowgirls have finished in the top-5 on the team leaderboard.
With a score of 1-under par 71, senior Kenzie Neisen had the best Sunday round for OSU. Neisen was able to climb seven spots on the leaderboard to finish the tournament tied for 19th place.
Cowgirls Stephanie Astrup and Chih-Min Chen both posted the same score of 1-over par in their last round. Astrup finished tied for 14th place and Chen joined Neisen tied for 19th place.
Alexis Sadeghy completed her final day of play with a score of 9-over par and placed tied for 62nd on the player leaderboard.
Playing as an individual, freshman Emma Whitaker shot 7-over par in her last 18 holes and placed 61st.
The Cowgirls will be back in action at the Dale McNamara Invitational in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 9-10.
