Cowgirls in eighth at Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate
NEW ORLEANS, La.—Oklahoma State’s women’s golf team posted its second consecutive 304 on Monday during the second round at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate to move into eighth place at English Turn Golf and Country Club.
With their 36-hole total of 608, 32-over, the Cowgirls moved up one spot and trail Texas by six strokes for seventh place. LSU carded a 304 during its second round at the par-72, 6,189-yard layout to stand at 12-over 588 and one stroke clear of UCLA and Tulane.
The LSU duo of Caroline Nistrup and Madelene Sagstrom shared first place after the second round with 3-under 141 totals.
Three Cowgirls finished the day tied for 20th place at 151.
Freshman Maddie McCrary posted a 75, while classmate Kenzie Neisen carded a 77 to get to their 7-over totals.
Sophomore Isabella Deilert also posted a 77 to stand at 151.
Sophomore Linnea Johansson signed for a 75 to get in with a 156 total and tied for 47th place.
Freshman Alexis Sadeghy rounded out the OSU starting five with a 78, tying her for 58th place at 158.
The Cowgirls will get their final round underway tomorrow at 8 a.m. and will be grouped with Texas and Mississippi State.
