Eastern Oklahoma knocks off Arkansas to advance in PGA Junior League
Cameron Surles made the winning putt to end a tense four-hole playoff, setting off a wild celebration as the Eastern Oklahoma all-star team upset the three-time defending Arkansas team to win the South Central Section PGA Junior League championship and advance to regional play Sept, 14-15 at the Lodge of Four Seasons at Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.
Tulsa first advanced in the morning match by knocking off the Western Oklahoma team 9 1/2 to 2 1/2. Arkansas stomped Kansas 10 1/2 to 1 1/2. The young players play nine holes in a two-player scramble format with a point available in each three-hole segment in each of five matches.
