Edmond junior Majma commits to Oklahoma State Cowboys

Emerson Majma, the 54th ranked junior in the country according to Junior Golf Scoreboard, has announced his commitment to attend Oklahoma State University and play for the defending NCAA champion Cowboys.

Majma, of Edmond, where his family are members at Oak Tree National, has been a power in junior golf through PGA Jr. League, Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour, American Junior Golf Association, U.S. Kids and USGA events. He has competed for the Oklahoma City Storm, a team comprised of home schooled youngsters such as himself, that has been highly successful.

Majma was recruited by both OSU and Oklahoma as well as other national golf powers. He said the opportunity to play the rebuilt Karsten Creek on a daily basis as well as his relationship with the OSU coaching staff led to the commitment.

Majma is a junior and will go to college in the fall of 2027. He has three top-five finishes in AJGA events and will continue to play AJGA events and try to qualify for USGA events while also competing for the Storm for the next two seasons.

The lefthander has gained considerable speed and power over the past year and is working now on honing in his distance control and ball flighting with his irons.
