Entries now open for Hall of Fame Classic at Southern Hills
Entries are now open for the 2026 Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame Classic at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, site of eight major championships with a ninth on the way in 2032.
Enjoy this rare chance to play Southern Hills in a relaxed shamble format with your friends and support the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame in its mission to honor and preserve Oklahoma’s tremendous golf legacy.
The tournament is Monday, Aug, 17, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Lunch and practice facilities are open at 11 a.m. Tournament and hole sponsorships are available and all participants will receive tee gifts. Awards and post-round cocktails and hors d’oeuvres following the round.

Southern Hills has one of the grandest histories of any course in the world. The Perry Maxwell-design has hosted the U.S. Open in 1958, 1977 and 2001 and the PGA Championship in 1970, 1982, 1994, 2007 and 2022 with a sixth PGA Championship scheduled in 2032. It has been the site of numerous other USGA and PGA championships including most recently the 2021 Senior PGA Championship and the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship. It also hosted the pinnacle event on the PGA Tour twice in the 1994 and 1995 Tour Championship.
“Having the club host this event shows our support for the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame and how important we believe it is to honor the legacy of golf in our state,” said Southern Hills Director of Golf Cary Cozby, whose father Jerry Cozby was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016. “We hope everyone comes out to support the Hall of Fame and enjoy Southern Hills.”
“Since Everett Dobson founded the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame in 2014 and combined it with the Oklahoma Women’s Golf Hall of Fame, it has awarded 24 scholarships and created a vast historical archive of the best to play this game in Oklahoma,” said Tom Jones, chairman of the Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame board. “Supporting the Hall and playing Southern Hills is a win-win that I know golfers around the state will enjoy.”
