Exotics CB Pro

Tour Edge Golf’s Exotics brand was launched nine years ago specifically for clubs that would have higher price points than their middle of the road Bazooka line. Justification for that price differential was straightforward and easy since Exotics would make use of more expensive materials and manufacturing techniques.
Since then, Exotics have become successful and a hallmark of the Tour Edge reputation. Now the new limited edition Exotics CB Pro fairway continues that tradition.
The CB Pro has a the smaller head size used in the CB2 fairways but most noteworthy is the sole with what the company has named as a "Slip Stream" design. Tour Edge says the design minimizes contact with the turf and therefore more clubhead speed is retained which of course means more distance and control. And company testing showed, "minimal turf contact occurs regardless of the attack angle and position of the head at impact."
Construction of the CB Pro makes use of the Exotics brand technique of combo-brazing a beta titanium cup face to a steel body making for a head of very high strength and pushing the limit of response time set by the USGA. The CB Pro also has the multiple thickness "trampoline face" of the CB2.
The Fujikura Speeder 757 and 661 are provided in the way of shaft choices with the Fujikura 661 being especially for use by better players.
David Glod, president said, "When we decided to create the Exotics line, this is the type of club I had envisioned. It’s very exciting to be introducing a product of this caliber to the market; there isn’t anything else like it. Is it expensive? Yes, probably the most expensive fairway wood available to the public. But, it’s just that good combined with the Speeder shafts and it’s also packaged with a high-end, leather headcover from Stitch Golf."
As with all Tour Edge clubs the Exotics CB Pro fairways a lifetime warranty and 30-day play guarantee. Suggested retail is $499.99. Expect to see it in retail stores next month.
