The simulator golf scene in the Oklahoma City area took a huge leap ahead this week with the opening of a Five Iron Golf in Yukon.

Five Iron is a franchise of the popular simulator enterprises that have sprung up initially along the east coast, now spreading with 31 locations across 13 states. They are noted for having larger venues and more of a party atmosphere than some other indoor locations.

Five Iron is located at 11300 West Reno in Yukon. The phone number is 405-265-7016 and website is https://fiveirongolf.com/locations/oklahoma-city-yukon/

Partners James Ward and Brian Neeley had a soft opening to the 10-bay facility earlier this week while they worked out details of obtaining their liquor license. Five Iron will have a full food and drink menu going forward.

The bays use TrackMan simulator technology and offer over 400 courses from which to choose. Golfers can also practice with a driving range mode and get all of their technical readouts on swing speed, ball speed, etc. from shot analytics mode.

Hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Costs per hour for the bays range from $50 to $75 depending on off times versus peak times.

The facility will also have a multi-game unit in which patrons can play soccer, baseball and other games. Five Iron will host leagues and tournaments and is also ideal for birthday parties.

“The reaction has all been positive,” Ward said. “Everyone likes the art work and décor and the functionality is awesome.”

Five Iron will continue to add other attractions. In January it will hire a professional to offer golf lessons. Also it will become a Callaway Golf fitting center and sell Callaway clubs and apparel.

To celebrate the opening, Five Iron Golf is offering an exclusive Founding Membership, limited to 150 spots. Members will receive premium perks, including a complimentary Swing Evaluation, $100 credit, 90 minutes of free daily golf, and 20% discounts on instruction, leagues, food, and drinks. Additional benefits include access to exclusive events and a collectible Founding Member bag tag. Memberships start at $99 per month with a 12-month commitment, or $129 month-to-month.

Beyond golf, Five Iron Golf features a stylish lounge, a 2,500 sq. ft. outdoor patio with a putting green, and a curated food and beverage menu offering elevated bar fare, shareable plates, and fresh, high-quality options. Guests can enjoy happy hour specials, late-night events, or football Sunday deals, making it a versatile destination for the Yukon community.
