TULSA, Okla.  – The Oral Roberts University women’s golf team matched a pair of school records and holds a two-shot lead going into Tuesday’s final round of the ORU Shootout Presented by Bob Hurley at Meadowbrook Country Club. The Golden Eagles shot 292-287 for a 579, edging Sam Houston State (293-288—581) after 36-holes. The 287 by ORU tied the school record from 2011, when the Golden Eagles shot the same score at the Jackrabbit Invitational.

Alejandra Acosta holds a five shot lead in the individual race after tying the school record with a 67 in the second round. Acosta (-4) is the only golfer to finish the day under par. Christy Carter in 2008 was the only other Golden Eagle to have hit 67 in a round.
