Jeannie Cue, Tulsa city councilor for District 2.

Those interested in seeing conditions improve at Page Belcher Golf Course in Tulsa can show support by attending Tulsa City Councilor Jeannie Cue’s first public meeting held to discuss how to spend the $1 million that will be allotted to her district as part of the Improve Our Tulsa bond package that recently received overwhelming approval from Tulsa voters.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. Monday at The Marriott Tulsa Hotel Southern Hills at 1902 E. 71st Street.

Each of Tulsa’s nine city councilors were to receive $1 million for projects to improve their districts. Golf could also possibly benefit down the road if it receives any of the $30 million in funding that was allocated to Parks and Recreation in the bond package.

The needs at Page Belcher, whether for renovated bunkers, tree trimming and limbing, sodding or clubhouse renovations, far outweigh what Cue will be able to deliver, but an allocation of $200,000 or more would be a solid start toward fixing at least one of those issues.
